About FMB

Welcome to my new lifestyle blog where I will be raw and real about my ongoing journey to find what really makes me feel beautiful, alive, authentic and whole. Slowing down, becoming present and finding [and then appreciating] the little miracles in everyday moments is what life is all about. It’s the smallest of things that will give you the most joy, love, peace and fulfillment, you just have to be ready to open your eyes and your heart. Here, I’ll be sharing my journey to opening up my soul to this life and how it is completely transforming [it’s a constant practice, not a destination] my perspective and how I see this world. The universe is a beautiful place and so are YOU. All you have to do is slightly alter the lens in which you see through.

If you’re struggling to find the beauty in yourself and the life you live, stick with me. I can help you start to pinpoint the little blessings in your life that if seen in the right light and acted upon properly, can ultimately transform you into a better, more authentic, happy, content and purposeful self. Life shouldn’t be toxic, stale and unhappy; it should be full of positive light, energy and people.

In each post, expect all of the little things in my every day life that have made me a little happier and a little more grateful for this life. Topics will include but aren’t limited to –> food, healthy recipes, fashion, beauty, mind, spirit, wellness, health, diet, eating disorders, self love, and the list goes on.

My biggest mission through this blog though: sharing personal life lessons that have helped me and now hopefully will help you transform your body image, internal dialogue and perspective into one of positivity, love, appreciation and joy. It’s so important to love who YOU ARE because YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL and you only have this one chance to realize and live it fully.

Let’s make this positive shift together! I can’t wait to take this journey with YOU and help you find what makes this life and you feel BEAUTIFUL too.

Hey ya’ll!

My name is Carrie! I was the former author of TheSkinnyBuzz, a successful diet, health and fitness blog I launched in college, that quickly transformed into a business: Carrie Riggin FIT. My passion for health combined with my love for helping people, led me to become a board certified holistic health coach, life coach, spiritual counselor, certified personal trainer, guest health + fitness TV correspondent, published diet + fitness writer in various well-known online and print publications, a Beachbody Coach, professional cheerleader and the list goes on.

I loved my life so much, but I realized that I was focusing so much on the wrong things: good vs. bad foods, how to lose the last 10 lbs., what exercises to do to get the perfect bikini body, what products to use to look better, you get the point. In essence, I was teaching people that they weren’t good enough, insisting that they continuously try to improve themselves, and giving them ways to make it happen – mostly through physical transformations. Yes, physical health is so imperative to our confidence, self-esteem and overall well-being, but it’s not everything. Our mental + spiritual strength are actually much more powerful when trying to better ourselves and positively overhaul our lives.

So, I shut down my business and withdrew from Beachbody coaching immediately. I then launched this blog, Finding My Beautiful, to focus more on teaching others how to find what makes them feel alive, authentic, whole, and most importantly, beautiful. Life is not about fitting into size 0 jeans. It’s about learning to love yourself in the moment, so you can enjoy all that life has to offer. And the miraculous thing is [that many have yet to realize]: when you start to love yourself, the rest falls into place – weight, career, relationships & all.

I’m still a board certified health coach and will one day launch my wellness, life & spiritual coaching practice once again. But for now, I heart blogging and sharing with you my knowledge, expertise and own life experiences that have brought me to this point.

I so love the new path I’m on and truly hope it will benefit you as well!
