A New Journey: #WhyIYoga

So, when I say I’m a yogi in training, that would probably be an understatement. I’m still figuring out the moves with the right technique with hardly any strength to actually hold me up (luckily my gymnast & cheer background helps a little). BUT, I could care less. There are only a few things that come around in your lifetime that really set your soul on fire and motivate you to want to be better every day. Yoga has become one of those things. It truly is my new happy place and I’m so excited to see where this journey will take me, mentally, physically & spiritually. Here’s to my near future full of falling on my butt from handstands, crow and back bends…and getting up to try it all over again. Can’t wait. 🙏🏼🙌🏼💕

And a HUGE shout out to CorePower Yoga Raleigh for igniting this fire and giving me something healthy to focus on and bring me back to the me that I love. #WorkInProgress #NewHappy

To follow my journey, be sure to check back here often. ❤ xoxo

Yoga is not about touching your toes. It’s what you learn on the way down. 🙌

You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf

Life is more wonderful when you have peace, love & grace in your heart….and are upside down doing yoga handstands. ✨

“You say you want to change, but a path won’t just magically appear. You have to create one, exiting your comfort zone and hacking away at the unknown with your machete to pave your own path. It will be hard, I am not telling you it won’t. But it will get easier as it goes, you just have to keep going. Keep hacking away at your new path and change will happen. You will change.” ~Unknown

You can’t always control what goes on outside, but you can always control what goes on inside.

Yoga heals the soul. ✌️

When you own your breath, no one can steal your peace. 🙏

Where there is love, there is light. ❤️

Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.

“You have to have darkness to have light. They say time heals, but it’s really you that heal. Find your heart again and make it smile.”  ~ Words from my very wise #CorePowerYoga teacher.
