What a good reminder this is, isn’t it?
I am really good with finding beauty in the little things. It’s the little things that make me happy. The sun shining, birds chirping, beautiful sunsets, long runs, telephone calls with long-distance girlfriends, doggy kisses, fresh flowers, coming home to a made bed — these are the things that make me smile and give me peace everyday.
Yet, I struggle with seeing “the beauty in me.” For some reason, I can’t even give credit to the body that allows me to experience these beautiful things. Isn’t that backwards? We all know everything blossoms from the love we have for ourselves — our lives, careers, relationships, health, you name it. If we can’t love ourselves, how can we truly love and be thankful for anyone (or anything) else?
When I saw this quote yesterday, it reminded me of this crucial lesson again. So I’m sharing with you ✌🏼️
Do you struggle with this too?
If you do, let’s make a pact that we start today & everyday, by seeing the beauty within ourselves & never forgetting to be grateful for the bodies God has given us 🙌🏽 💕
